Beauty Skin Care- The Development of a Wrinkle
As you age, your face becomes more vulnerable to the aging process- expression lines start to appear on the forehead and around the mouth, crows feet creep in from all the years of squinting. Wrinkles are a by-product of the aging process. What happens is the inner layer, called the dermis, begins to thin.
With age, skin cells divide more slowly and the protein which causes skin to stretch- elastin and the major structural proteins in the skin which support the outer layer-collagen fibers, loosen and unravel. This causes a depression on the surface of the skin, or wrinkle.
The skin loses its’ youthfulness over time. The skins’ ability to retain moisture becomes impaired and it becomes less elastic, slower healing and the oil-secreting glands become less efficient.
The development of wrinkles is essentially a culmination of the environmental elements and time-or, in other words, dry skin due to sun damage and a lack of collagen. The great news is, there are a plethora of skin care products you can use to pamper your skin.
